The Graduate Management Admission Test, or simply the GMAT, is conducted by GMAC (Graduate Management Admissions Council). For any prospective MBA student, acing the GMAT is the first and foremost step in getting an admit into any top Business school. The exam is widely recognized by most colleges so much so that getting into any MBA program, worth its salt, without a great GMAT score is nearly impossible. STRUCTURE OF THE EXAM
The GMAT Focus Edition, effective in 2025, is a streamlined, 2-hour 15-minute exam (plus an optional 10-minute break) comprising three main sections. Each section is designed to assess skills essential for success in graduate management programs.

Quantitative Reasoning (21 Questions, 45 Minutes)
- Focuses on problem-solving and basic math concepts (algebra, arithmetic, number properties, percentages, ratios, etc.)
- No geometry or advanced math required
- Tests logical and analytical thinking, not just calculation skills
Verbal Reasoning (23 Questions, 45 Minutes)
- Includes reading comprehension and critical reasoning
- Assesses ability to understand, analyze, and evaluate written material
- Topics: main idea, inference, application, logical structure, strengthen/weaken arguments, etc.
Exam Features
